I’ve been fortunate enough to train with some of the world’s best. In the field of NLP: Richard Bandler, Paul McKenna, Robert Dilts, Steve Gilligan, Sid Jacobson. For Buteyko Breathing: Alexander Stalmatsky, who worked alongside Professor Buteyko for over 30 years. For EFT: Dr Phil Mollon, eminent author of books on psychiatry and energy therapies.
I follow Richard Bandler’s advice “Take the principles of NLP and apply them to your own expertise to create something new and extraordinary.”
Some background: I had severe health problems from the first few months of my life, lasting over 3 decades. Chronic and sometimes life-threatening asthma, allergies and bronchitis; plus migraine, eczema, panic attacks, and for many years, crippling agoraphobia.
Given my family history – both genetic and behavioral, this isn’t entirely surprising (although this is not the place to expand on that, just rest assured that I’ve ‘been there, done that, got the T-shirt’ and can cope with anything you need to share!) Over the years I tried a vast array of therapies, both medical and complementary, read thousands of books and spent a fortune along the way.
The first thing that really made a difference was the Buteyko Breathing Method. Within a few weeks I was able to stop taking ALL my medication (I did have an unusually supportive GP!) and was completely free of bronchitis and most asthma symptoms from then on. When I did my training with Alexander Stalmatsky as a therapist over 15 years ago, that was the end of the remaining asthma symptoms. I haven’t needed a single puff of spray since!
NLP, EFT and hypnosis helped massively with the panic and agoraphobia, and dealing with traumatic events in my history. Reiki gave me access to a sense of emotional and spiritual comfort that continues to be of value on a daily basis.
I trained in most of the tools and techniques I found useful, initially just to help myself. Over time, I discovered that there were literally millions of other people going through some combination of the problems I’d experienced. Now I have the skills, and the empathy, and the personal strength, to make a real difference.
It’s my joy to keep learning, develop new techniques and systems, and share them with others. If I can be of assistance to you as an individual, or for your organisation, please let me know. I’m also happy to undertake joint ventures with people and companies who share my values. Please get in touch!
In addition to a passionate desire to make life easier for my clients as quickly as possible, my interests include photography, horses and riding, playing classical piano (having taught for many years), my siamese cat Naughtius Maximus, big cats of all kinds, reading voraciously, networking, organic and environmentally friendly living and most importantly my family – husband Mark and daughter Melanie.
